Yep it's certainly looking like Desolation Row.

The cowardly attack on Israeli civilians last weekend was a golden opportunity for the Israeli government and its international supporters to elicit world buy-in for a response that was effective, Hamas focused, get the job done and proportionate. Somehow they have managed to do the opposite with indiscriminate actions against civilians and make themselves look like the bully in the playground, ensnaring themselves in the volatile politics of the Middle East. This time, the storm looks like, it's only just begun.

The most right wing government in Israel’s history was over the months fixated on reforming the judicial system and curbing the power of the Supreme Court to declare government decisions unreasonable. Widespread protests by Israeli citizens against this reform have taken place since the beginning of the year.

One of the main duties of a government is to keep its people safe, right ? So, it’s not unreasonable to suggest that they had taken their eye off the ball on this fundamental duty. Wrong government at the wrong time ?

As one legendary Jewish songwriter/poet put it:

“As someone long prepared for the occasion
In full command of every plan you wrecked
Do not choose a coward's explanation
That hides behind the cause and the effect” ...

Israel cannot stop until Hamas is totally destroyed. They know that and we know that, everyone understands that. Even Hamas and their people are beginning to understand that.

Hamas have stated they intend to repeat 7/10 at any opportunity. They want to torture and butcher more Jews, they want to kill all Jews. They believe it is their muslim right and calling to eradicate Israel. If the Palestinian government then shield themselves with their own people in this total war to the death then that is on their conscience only.

That's a pretty clear concern about the conduct of the war...

Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has stated “We don't distinguish between Hamas terrorists with AK-47s in Gaza, and terrorists with suits in lavish hotels. We will eliminate them all.”

It sounds like the muslim child torturing terrorists and the leaders of the terrorists will be systematically hunted and eliminated, wherever they are.

Similar to Operation Bayonet* when Mossad patiently took nearly 20 years to eliminate just about all of the Black September terrorist group which were responsible for the 1972 Munich massacre. Whilst the muslim extremists in the tunnels in Gaza will likely be brainwashed enough to be happy to die for their cause I bet their leaders in Qatar are less keen on the prospect of being prematurely relieved of their luxury lifestyle.

Perhaps we might now expect a bit of movement from Hamas on the release of all the hostages.

Our thoughts and commiserations are with those protestors and MP’s who think that demanding a ‘ceasefire’ from the safety of over 2000 miles away will in anyway deter Israel from achieving their justified aim of keeping themselves (and ourselves) alive and safe by destroying the islamic extremists.

Durr.

Every big hospital in the UK, has underground tunnels to move supplies around and also patients from wards to contiguous diagnostic departments, without the need to take them outside.

Some tunnels are so long that the junior doctors use skateboards...

The BBC still having a shocker of a war at the moment.

CCTV footage has been released showing Hamas terrorists dragging a hostage around the hospital with one of them brandishing a butcher’s meat cleaver. Suppose that sort of carry-on is also typical behaviour for every big hospital in the UK - not*.

Not usually. But then again, we don't usually come under aerial bombardment from the IAF or attack from the IDF ground forces.
