Default the end of poppers

Just putting on this little-used forum for reference.

http://www.uk-mistresses.com/vBullet...ead.php?t=5501

so double whammy. The government is going to ban all 'legal highs' (psycho active substances) with exemptions for certain ones (caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, medically prescribed substances). The old system (legal until forbidden) was collapsing under the pace of new innovation by drug producers.

And it turns out there's a serious case, not necessarily dose and usage dependent, that isopropyl nitrites cause serious harm to the eye (macular degeneration). An effect not seen before in users, because the EU only forced the switch in 2007 from isobutyl nitrite (amyl nitrite is the medical drug and has been banned from non medical production for a long time).

Great news!

Now it will reveal the core of unions without the added interference of chemicals..

Artificial maskings... and concealments...via chemical substances...

Natural highs, natural chemical warfare's....

Poppers were the bane of My session life years ago, having those shit themselves, pass out, piss themselves, vomit and then say what an amazing session it was didnt really cut My mustard... But I did it, I served them well

I have been prescribed Viagra as and when necessary. That is a chemical substance (I think) but only affects teh physical and not emotional state. It certainly works but after 90+ minute delay. Bang goes any spontaniety!

Just remember poppers + viagra can kill you -- not a good combination (they both work on the nitric oxide system in the blood which controls erections, and they both cause a drop in blood pressure, I believe).

Viagra doesn't have a mental effect, just a physical one. Poppers have physiological effects, but the main effect is the head rush (ie mental).

Yes, it's an interesting combination from a nuanced pharmacological viewpoint. I have mentioned this previously...

Post marketing severe adverse events safety data passed to regulatory authorities shows that PDE-5 inhibitors and nitrates interact to reduce blood flow in arteries with signs of narrowing, causing a major drop in blood pressure (drops of 40mm Hg are often seen). This depletes the heart of oxygen. The oxygen deprived heart will further decrease blood pressure and the downward spiral continues sometimes with catastrophic results. The effects would be more exaggerated if the person already has low BP or is taking antihypertensive drugs.

*NO is nitric oxide which can be synthesised in the body from amino acids and plays a role in the signalling of muscle relaxation. The nitrate drugs that are used for angina and also recreationally (poppers) are NO donors and are contraindicated with Viagra (sildenafil), Levitra (vardenafil) and Cialis (tadalafil) because the combination can lead to a serious decrease in blood pressure. These PDE-5 inhibitors work in conjunction with sexual stimulation by blocking PDE activity in cells, resulting in increased levels of NO and cGMP which assists an erection by smooth muscle relaxation of blood vessels causing inflow of blood into the corpus cavernosum.

Yes absolutely correct.
My PD has very strict rules: Viagra yes - poppers no and vice versa.

Looks like a bit of common sense has prevailed as it has just been announced that poppers are no longer included within the scope of the Psychoactive Substances Act, i.e., will remain legal and for sale.
