Default Adult internet sites - what's occuring ?

I'm reading all about age verification and restrictions of content.
Will I be able to access X Hamster, for example ?
Is there a difference between UK and overseas based websites ?
Any clarification - and about content, if possible - would be gratefully received.
Richard
PS I remember Mistress Sidonia once posting on these pages. If She sees this (yeah, I know it's unlikely...) could She enlighten us as to how the new legislation will affect originators such as Her ?)

We all heading towards a puritanical future and a good job I say. Far too much porn and smut on the internet for my liking.

Ban the lot of it. Let’s pretend it’s not there and let’s have more evangelical forums.
I’d certainly contribute oh let’s say £50 a month to learn more about stuff like that. Deep meaningful discussions etc.

Soon it will be illegal for a website which shows adult content to not age verify their visitors.

For you as the end user, that means you will have to verify your age through some kind of process (perhaps using a credit card) in order to view adult restricted content.

For producers like me, it means in order to stay on the right side of the law, I have to age verify all of my visitors.

Any websites which don't comply will be blocked in the UK.

So... whether you will be able to access X Hamster will depend on the following. Firstly, that they implement age verification (meaning they won't be blocked), and secondly that you are willing to provide information, such as a credit card, to view it (and you're OK with your porn viewing habits being linked to you in this way).

I predict a boom in VPNs in the immediate future...

Also in addition to the UK bill we have the fosta/sesta legislation in the states... this has already seen places like fet life change their stance and new t&c from the likes of Twitter and Insta which if enforced properly could pretty much stop dommes (well all sex workers) from using them... similarly if that legislation is enforced properly it could see web hosts removing mistresses websites.

On top of that we have seen backpage and you kandy fold for different reasons.

Switter looks like it could also be a platform that grows rapidly... but in general times are a changin
Unfortunately, anti-trafficking organisations have campaigned for this legislation and won. This is a very serious matter for sex workers in the US, especially those on the 'lower' end. A deadly legislation passed in the name of protecting us...

Am I the only person that feels it's worse for the adult worker and the clients.

Will just put it underground which be worse for both.

I'm not too sure if it's relevant, but I see if you now look at the AdultWork website and use the search function, you are no longer able to check which service providers cater for hardsports.
I'm presuming this category would have included a number of mistresses.

Croquet.
I’ve always found that extremely difficult.

Your tongue may be firmly lodged in your (or someone’s ass) cheek, but I think there is some truth in this vein of thought.

Porn is just another useless and potentially destructive addiction not dissimilar to drugs, or gambling, or alcohol. Beyond strict moderation they are all a thief of time and money. Producers and pushers may claim to be profiting by meeting a demand but only at the expense of creating junkies from susceptible users.

Am I the only one who really does not get concerned about a return to the pre-internet restriction and censorship ? If I remember correctly we were all having just as much (and probably more meaningful) fun back then.

There might be less porn available in the future, so what ? We might rediscover more productive and fulfilling uses for our limited time on Earth. W*nking away the hours and days to a virtual set of digital titillations is never going to be remembered or recalled at somebody’s funeral service.

Kind Regards,
The Fireman.
