Behaving out of caricature.
Did anyone see it ?
I missed it, and was wondering if it had any authority or authenticity, or was it just titillation dressed up as a pseudo social documentary ? There was that Nick Broomfield programme years ago called Fetishes which I thought was a ridiculous caricature of kinky-fetish people. Through expedient pruning it portrayed both clients and practitioners as all having some mental health/abuse issues that found partial resolution in perverted sexuality. This was (and still is) so alien to my own findings that it made me query his motivations in presenting it as such. Mind you, the documentary was set in an American multi-domme establishment so the overplaying of ‘shrink’ issues could be expected. Also, after a year or so of programme making he wouldn’t want to conclude that the players are just ordinary well balanced individuals who have discovered the freedom of mind to enjoy doing ‘unusual’ things with their bodily bits and pieces. In depth introspection (or peering up your own arsehole) seems to be the expected norm nowadays. Kind Regards, Norman Nowadays.

I recorded it on the old Betamax and watched it last night.
I’m afraid it did nothing for me other than prove once more how afraid I am of dungeonesque rooms and women wielding canes. I did perk up when a glimpse of Chloe Lovett appeared in a scene. Then I quickly fast forwarded when she started kicking some poor (Or probably lucky) bloke. There is a whole series of these documentaries and I think next week centres around transsexual escorts.

The series is available on catch up tv via your computer and will be for the next 12 months. The episodes appear to be daily? as I was able to view episode 2 about transgender etc. THat episode was somewhat less interesting, probably because that area doesn't do anything for me. |

I thought it was reasonably well produced. It didn't seem to portray the submissives as freaks but rather than individuals that wanted to give up control periodically. Also it was good to learn about the ladies backgrounds and interests away from their work. That was my take on things anyway

Daily at 22:00
I checked out availability and confirm it is daily at 22:00 on Chanel 5.
Episode 3 is about sensual massage and the use of sex workers for ladies satisfaction and pleasure. I though 3 more entertaining, enlightening and more about the subjects than the sex workers. |
