As one who prides herself with plain speaking and saying it as it is, here goes. Firstly please do not think that this post is in any way trying to justify PDUK or myself. For those that need a scape goat, here I am. PDUK was my idea, I was the one that asked Phoenix to set it up and I was the one that asked the other ladies ( Lady Anna, Mistress Susannah, Mme Tytania, Lady Pandora, Mistress Keen,Madam Rattan to become co owners and moderators. I am sorry that some see PDUK in direct competition with UKM, but you are entitled to your opinion and quite honestly I won't be losing any sleep over it, equally if you feel you are being disloyal to UKM by belonging to PDUK, then so be it, I would not dream of trying to change your mind.

IF UKM had of been maintained and kept up to date over the years than maybe PDUK would not of come about, who knows? I am not psychic. What I am sure about, is that I and a number of other Pros wanted a board where we would control content and ALL decisions relating to the board would be by majority vote.We also wanted a board where the members felt more involved, that is why the listings have been adopted and will be monitored by various members to keep them as up to date as possible. We also wanted a board where if the powers that be on UKM threw another tantrum and just one day pulled the plug, there would be somewhere for people to go. I will also add at this point that the old listings on UKM before MY suggestion of putting them in geographical order, were to say the least all over the place.I even offered to do it but was declined by sally! Mistress Alana and Lisal have been fantastic as moderators on UKM but it still does not detract from the fact that there has only been 1 Pro Domme mod on a board for Pro Dommes for years.

I was not going to bring this up, but I do take exception to Peters comments of that UKM has raised money for good causes. If by UKM you mean the owners of the board, then you could not be more wrong. I knew a number of Pro Dommes outside of UKM as well as a number of subs. The charity event/s would of happened regardless of UKM, albeit they may of been a bit smaller but also could of been larger if Fulmar and some others had not of requested that I keep it to those that were known to us. The charity event is only as good as the Dommes that give their time, likewise those that come to support it. Its success is not measured by whether they are members of UKM or not.

PDUK is welcoming of everyone and that includes Lady Sam and Cerbie should they wish to join, and until the owners of UKM tell me I am no longer welcome to post on their board or ban me, then I shall continue to do so. As far as I'm aware this is still a free country and we can belong to as many/few message boards as we want.

I've just seen this post, and like others, I'm not surprised that a new site has been set up. One thing about the new site that I think is a pity is that when I type PDUK in my usual search engine it brings up web pages for Parkinson's Disease and a forum for that condition. I hope this choice of initials doesn't offend anyone not into the scene.

Why should it offend them? Haven't they got enough to worry about?

Give it time and soon PDUK will be on the first page of Google as well, the same way that UKM shares top billings with the university in Malaysia.

Would it not be a good idea for both sites (UMK & PDUK) to have a link to each others site ?
This shows a united scene and if a newbie finds one they can find the other, just a thought but it is what we do on the Tension Fetish site. There is a "other sites we recomend link" thread.

Peter i mean no offence at all but if everyone stopped posting (as you feel you may want to) then this site WILL die very quickly would it not ?
The site needs posters, interesting topics, something i feel you have done a lot of from what i have read so if you stop how is that going to help this site flourish ?.....

In other words get your typing fingers out xx

I do agree with all that has been said about problems, i also asked to be added to the directory at least 2 years ago and it never happened, i was also stopped from posting on the old forum as for some reason it would not recognise me but would not let me re join as it already had my email addy.

The new site was much easier to join and here i am and here i will stay as well as on the new PDUK site.

I posted this comment as I thought this might have been something the new board owners had missed.....but since, as you imply, you and your colleagues, Lady Anna, checked beforehand what Google and other search engines would bring up, and apparently don't care how the volunteers for the Parkinson's Disease charities might feel, that is enough said on the matter.

YOU think I implied.

I don't happen to think that there is anything offensive about BDSM and visiting Dominatrixes abigail, perhaps you do, but please don't transfer your guilty feelings onto the rest of us.

If the volunteers for the Parkison's Disease charities, who I know from close experience, do a very good work, have problems with being linked to a BDSM related website, then they are an ignorant and bigotted lot.

I, for one, don't care where hypocrisy comes from. Do you object to the money raised by UKM charity bash being given to charities who, should they know where the money came from, might object? And would you find their objections justified? I, personally, don't. Bigotry and ignorance is still bigotry and ignorance, whether it comes from Nick Griffin or selfless charity volunteers.

Can the appropriateness of the name and four letter abbreviation for the other site be discussed on that site; UKM is not the place for that discussion.

So are you saying Reefie that anything that mentions PDUK on UKM is not acceptable? or are you saying that the members of this site cannot discuss any matters that directly relate to PDUK

I am somewhat confused

I'd lock this thread if I had the necessary superhero powers. I can't see how it can be other than divisive. And it's not like we're such a huge group in the first place.
