One of the greatest English goalkeepers Gordon Banks has died overnight.
Will always be remembered for his amazing save against Pele and as part of the World Cup winning team of 66. RIP |

You beat me to it Alan.
Gordon Banks made that brilliant save and I still remember Pele standing in complete admiration for the man who had just prevented him from scoring. He applauded even. Although not blessed with the best agility. He made up for it with great pisitional skills. Like a lot of players from that era. He came across as being just a nice man. RIP Gordon.

Gordon Banks...
Absolute legend!
A 1966 World Cup winner and the keeper who set the bar for which all future great saves are still judged. Can’t get much better than that. RIP

Claude Puel has been sacked by Leicester after 16 months in charge, their 3rd manager in 23 months. How can they expect to get any continuity if they keep doing this.
After sacking Ranieri the season after winning the Premiership I have no sympathy for them! |

Great day of rugby yesterday.
Well done the leeks. Made the Irish look positively ordinary. Well done Scotland. For making the second half just about the most entertaining of the tournament. I’ve been to Twickenham a few times but never seen anything like that before.
