Default Norton

I have Norton as my virus / firewall. Its up for renewal and what I got for £20 last year is now the subject of a £54 demand.

Running Windows 10, anyone suggest an alternative to Norton ?

The Norton anti virus is listed as £24.99, I know they do a 3 year licence package which might be £54

Kaspersky is highly rated by Which Magazine and gets their 'Best Buy' award

I am currently runing McAfee and when its up for renewal will try Kaspersky. When I have renewed McAfee in the past, they have always sent my renewal through which has nearly been double of what I would pay if I bought it as a 'new customer'

If you are happy with Norton, just Google it and see what you would pay on the web as a 'new customer'

I'm on BitDefender Total Protection at £25.00 per year.

Of course you could try a month's free trial from each of the Anti-virus producers in turn and get a year's Anti-virus and firewall for free

I've got Norton for a PC and laptop for under £30. My automatic renewal was more but go online and google it and you can buy it cheaper .

Thanks guys, that is a good suggestion. I suppose it pays to shop around.

If you phone up Norton and tell them you can get it much cheaper then they will usually drop their price to match. That avoids all the re-installing, which frequently can go wrong.

Changing to a rival product means you lose all the remembered passwords, which is one of the best parts of Norton.

Come to think of it, I don't think I phoned them up - I had one of these email conversations via their "contact" icon. Even easier way to get a better deal.

Well, my computer keeps telling me that I have ( as of now) 2 days left.
Buying Norton on line instead of renewing will cost me £24. So I'll uninstall and buy again.

Thanks for all the advice
