I like Mistress Keene's suggestion. Period with a twist. It would suit the black furniture I already have. I know carpet is ideal but it is impossible to keep clean. When you do denial for as long as I do the emissions tend to fly several feet in several directions. I wasn't born to be on my knees

I will when it is on a nice wooden floor. Wouldn't want them to miss a bit or shove it down the carpet pile with their tongue.

I hope there will be suitably placed full length mirror(s) in the dungeon.

After reading The Oubliette I was thinking about buying a Hummer but the emissions would be too high.
I’ll go for a carpet instead

Wood floors, with some carpet area for us with sore knees
Id go for Red's hilghted with purples. Have the red from dark blood red to a lighter red at the top, leave the beams black and highlight them with purple. But im nutz when it comes to colours! ColiN |

Well, of course. A modern, bright and sterile medical room is the closest I could get to the Futuristic zone. Even so, it is distinctly different from the Gothic look which is reasonably common in the big domination houses in the USA. I'm not to sure what 'period' means. I tend to think of it as early 20th century, Late Victorian or Edwardian. I'm not too sure how that would translate into dungeon decor.

It looks stunning as it is
I think, fwiw, you should seriously consider leaving it just the way it is. Once all the furniture is in and all the 'equipment' displayed on the walls, the addition of some large mirrors (so we can see what you're up to behind us), and a 'bit of carpet' for the 'sore knees' brigade I'm sure it will look fine. You won't loose so much time searching for 'things' in dark corners either

From Your avatar it looks to be a light and airy room, it would be a shame to loose that feature, to make it dark and moody can be done with blackout binds and lighting, we relit Ms Kulits place with red LED mains powered spot lights (only problem they can not be dimmed but the lighting level is ok anyway) and some white spots on stands. Wall hangings are quicker and easier to change than paint and of course can be washed should they get splattered.
