Okay
I think I have worked it out Looks like they have changed the url. The old one 216.... is not available now. We might have lost one or two people who had that bookmarked |

You did but only temporarily. It was easy enough to relocate the site by teh same Fluffy Bunnies Mistress search.

I must say at first I thought that the site had closed down until I tried a Google search! It hardly matters now but in retrospect it might possibly have been worth notifying all members of the changes with an e-mail.
I seem to remember that a few years ago we were asked to use the URL with the IP address rather than the domain name. The problem with using an IP address as a URL is that it can be (and generally is) specific to a given server / network end point so when that is removed that's it - you can't connect to the domain any more. That's one reason domain names are normally used for web sites rather than IP addresses (the other one being that domain names are much easier to remember!). I imagine that the new web server, possessing a different IP address, was built and published with the domain name URL before the old one was removed and those of us with the bookmarked IP address URL found ourselves (temporarily) bereft of this forum. |
