There is an on line petition and option to mail your MP demanding that the PM honours his earlier promise. |

Why are people expecting the PM to do something he has consistently failed to do over the last 2 1/2 years ............... keep a promise .... he is after all a politician promise made are just for effect and spin there never is any commitment to them.

So are the architects of the whole shambles (Mr Milly and Mr Cleggy) So's the Paedofinder General (Mr T.Watson) The small players have pushed back fairly skilfully. The big players are big enough to say "See you in court" The high end players like Private Eye,the Speccie and The Economist aren't going to sign up. Hello! magazine has yet to pronounce as has Nude Nasty people Biker So basically its a fvcking useless bill dreamed up by a brace of morons at 2 o' Clock in the morning when they could have been enjoying a nice game of pyjama billiards |

See electro is doing a bit of a swerve from his OP on Mistress blogs. Could it be anything to do with the fact that the amendments submitted to the House of Lords would exclude such blogs?
Just curious

NO!.....the whole point about pushing back on this kind of dumb ass legislation is to create a shitstorm early on.
The first thing the MSM knew about the threat to blogging in the Royal Charter was over the weekend and it became vital that the underlying Act was amended to protect blogs and small publishers. Cleggy and Milly saw they were getting on the wrong side of the debate and confined their ambitions to the Rothermere/Barclay/Murdoch titles FOR THE TIME BEING If they could have taken out some of the political blogs they would have considered it as valuable collateral In summary *Bloggers and small publishers are exempt *Quality press won't sign up *Big boys are getting lawyered up If everybody had shrugged their shoulders the situation would have been exactly as the Royal Charter sets out and that does cover bloggers large and small |
