Now I’ve got to buy a flippin diary.
I tried finding something called a reminder app on my Nokia 1110 but I can’t see anything. Mind you I think you have to have interweb or something to get that and all I can find on my phone is a volume button.

I am afraid I can't make it now. Something has come up which I have to go to on the 24th. Perils of being in a relationship!

I am so sorry. Normally, I would have gone with what I agreed to first but this is a bit non negotiable.

Fails once again.

It’s never been an arduous task arranging them. It’s a disappointment. That’s probably the best word to use. :lolsign:

You gave it your best shot Mikey.

Sadly once again the arranging of a UKM small get together fails miserably.

Next year maybe. Some brave soul will venture forth with an idea for a few of us to meet up. Share a beer or two somewhere.
Possibly someone in the area on a certain date.
“Would be good to introduce myself to others as I am visiting that day” will be in his starting post.

Both I and Geordie South have tried and failed, so you are, at least, in good company.

It didn't used to be this way in the good old days.

Perhaps it would make sense to simply find a date when the reliables can make it and just invite anyone else who is interested - but expect to just have the usual 2 or 3. The beer tastes just as good in a small crowd as a large one.

Think this is a (as usual from poshie) wise post, Mikey.

I am acutely aware that I have been a "let down" for the last two or three get togethers but health and personal life are more problematic for me these days. I entirely agree with the suggestion about two or three people having a beer and telling the others where they are so they can join them if they wish.
