Mini-Stroke
I had a TIA (mini-stroke) a couple of weeks ago. I saw a doctor immediately and am on a lifelong regime of pills. Has anyone any experience of sessioning after a TIA?

Stuff that might be of interest...
Quote:
The new novel anti-coagulant drugs (ending in .ban) and dabigatran are now the first-line option for anticoagulation in venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk. Aspirin, ACE inhibitors and statins are also likely to be part of the therapy. While the novel anti-coagulant drugs have a favourable bleeding profile compared with Warfarin (a vitamin K antagonist), they can be associated with major bleeding events. The antidote to Warfarin bleeds is Vitamin K, which is ubiquitous and straightforward, but the esoteric reversal agents Andexanet alfa and idarucizumab are used in life-threatening or uncontrolled bleeding with rivaroxaban/apixaban or dabigatran, respectively. The antidote prices to the NHS are very dear, in the region of £11,100 per pack (4 × 200 mg vials) for the .ban drugs or £2,400 per 5 g (2 × 2.5 g/50 ml) for dabigatran. That means the NHS cost to stop a single major bleed incident could be in the region of £14,000-£25,000. Obviously, any activity that might pose a risk of bleeding or a rapidly developing haematoma would not be a good idea. And should antidote therapy be required there is the moral dilemma of avoidable cost to a limited resource health system...

Sorry to hear this Holo
My dad had some tias - he continued life pretty must as before but - as ex says - avoiding anything that might involve bleeding etc would be sensible |

I had a suspected TIA a bit over a year ago.
I am now on aspirin, statins and blood pressure medication. I have noticed no difference and have sessioned quite a few times since. |

Apologies for my silence: I haven’t been visiting the board much.
As for sessioning while on blood-thinners after a TIA, I eventually did the obvious thing and consulted my doctors. One said I would bruise more easily but there was no serious danger. The other said I would bruise more easily and that there was a very slight danger of infection. He suggested that I start with a session less severe than my norm and gradually build up in successive ones, until I found the safe limit. So that I have done, so far twice. In the first session, I had a long OTK spanking and 700 stinging but not brutal strokes of the tawse. We omitted the cane. In the second session my mistress added to this mixture sixty strokes of the cane, stinging but not breaking the skin. So far so good. I look forward to my next, more severe, session.

Doctor, my backside hurts when I sit down.
…well don’t sit down then.

Must say though, that must have been quite a conversation with your Doctors ! How did you ease that topic into the discussion ?… “Yes, thank you Doctor. One a day after a meal, and don’t double up if I miss one. Now, what about having my backside caned and thrashed by a sexy busty lady in her skimpy underwear…take all 60 in one go, once a month with an erection, and do double up if I miscount one ?” Kind Regards, Page 130.

From the intern, who pulls open the curtains and enters a treatment booth to - ’Look, I don’t need any judgement, I just like sticking cucumbers up my arse. Please remove it, young man !’ and then with the passage of years and seniority, ‘I’m on anticoagulants, will it be okay to have my bottom caned OTK, 700 times ?’ I guess it’s a bit like being in a rather dubious pass the parcel. Always one person holding it, when the music stops and everyone else having a smile on their face…
