Very late to this thread, but that's tragic news indeed. Very sad. My condolences to Moose's family. I remember him, as geordie says, a truly good guy.

Thanks to all that posted here, the Funeral went well and trust me.......Mark had a great send off. Thanks to Geordie South and Almaviva for coming to the funeral and to GS's son too, it was lovely to see you again even though the circumstances were so sad.

Spirit in the sky blazed out of the speakers as Moose made his farewell
My son and I went to the pub near the crematorium after the service. They obviously do a fair passing trade of mourners People handle grief differently and some ways it's interesting to observe.........sad and happy I celebrated my friends life. Not his death In the words of that immortal song "Gonna go to the place that's the best" |

this may sound odd but moose often told me he wanted 'Spirit in the sky' played as the final song at his funeral, I used to tell him I didnt want to talk about stuff like that but that if I were still about that I would make sure it was. On our last holiday together we met Dr and the medics and he told them too , the Dr seemed quite flattered. I made it known to his family and was pleased to hear it played.
though I cried buckets at the funeral as every memory of him arose while his life story was told in a nutshell, I celebrated his life at the wake and told the story of the vicars and tarts party we attended, where moose turned up as Jesus himself trumping posh who was dressed as the pope..........such good times ![]() Ama xx |

Oh dear, sorry to read the sad news of Moose, I remember his contributions to the old board fondly.
Rest in Peace Moose, and my somewhat belated condolences to all his loved ones, family and friends.
