UKM - Scapey some sad news - UK

Dear UKM members

It is with great sadness I learnt today that Scapey passed away very recently.

I do not have any more information that this currently.

Scapey was one very early members of UKM, he was a great contributor to the message board and someone who always enjoyed the banter.

Many of us met him personally, he was in fact the very second UKM member I met in real life, I had got to the LFF early and was stood at the bar adjacent to the toilets (it was a UKM thing

) and he introduced himself, we became good friends.

As some of you know he did suffer from ill health for a number of years and has been unable to post here over the last few years.

Very sad to hear this news when reefy texted me earlier.

Scapey was a mainstay of UKM when I joined and remained that way for many years. As reefy said he had been ill for a long while but remained buoyant and stoical. He loved UKM, the members and the get togethers we had. I met him more than a few times and he was always glad to see you and always had a smile.

I don’t know for sure but I have the impression that he came to PDing later in life. He particularly enjoyed being able to interact with dommes and subs alike and to chew the fat about SM which was his mode of enjoyment!

I had a roughish time when I started moderating and, on more than one occasion (in fact a few), scapey would drop me a PM with a word of advice or find a way to pour oil on troubled waters.

Fly high my friend. You will be missed

Such sad news. A lovely man and as others will say. One of the great UKM’ers.

A Holyport member too.

Oh no that is Awful News ...please post any funeral news if we get any ....my thoughts are with his wife Anne Moose and I knew him really well

Oh dear .... I am truly sorry to learn of Scapey's death. Like many of the 'old stagers' of UKM, I met and bantered with him and I liked him a lot. A lovely bloke.

A slightly difficult question - but is it possible for a small UKM contingent to be at the funeral.

Are you able to contact his son, reefy?

Go well scapey ... and give my best to the great clockmaker.

I was sent the news via a text from a former Mistress of this board who had received it from another former Mistress of this board.

I would send the details if I knew them; I know some here visited his home and met his wife what i do not know is the context folks were introduced to his family and indeed how much they knew out his "activities"

Sad news but as has been said he had been in poor health for what must be a long time now. At least we were able to get news of his passing.

rip scapey he was a fantastic guy who was very good to me when i first started.

I could always come to him for advice and had many good times at the lff with him and many great times in the chat room.
